Myth & Legend is a small, cozy café tucked into the brick-lined stretch of Charlotte Street in downtown St. Augustine. Its intimate, softly lit interior creates a quiet refuge from the bustle of the historic district—a spot where locals and visitors alike seem to settle in for relaxed conversations or solitary moments with a book and a warm drink.

The café draws in those who appreciate thoughtfully crafted coffee and tea, served alongside simple, satisfying sandwiches. The affogato stands out on the menu, offering a rich twist for anyone seeking an indulgent treat. Loose leaf teas such as Earl Grey and Passionfruit Jasmine offer flavorful alternatives for tea lovers. For something heartier, their sandwiches—ranging from turkey with bacon and honey mustard to options with smoky ham and spicy mustard—strike a good balance between classic and inventive flavors. The “Pick Two” option, pairing a sandwich with a latte or tea, caters well to people looking for a midday break without fuss.

What sets Myth & Legend apart is a sense of genuine care in both the drinks and the service. The staff gives the impression of being genuinely engaged with the craft of coffee and the comfort of their guests. This attention to detail invites repeat visits from locals who want a refuge for morning caffeine runs or afternoons spent catching up with friends.

Its location—just steps from the Cathedral and woven into the historic streetscape—means it fits naturally into daily downtown life: easy to find after a morning walk or a weeknight stroll through St. Augustine’s charming core. Although seating is cozy and somewhat limited, the atmosphere encourages slowing down and savoring the moment rather than grabbing and going.

Myth & Legend is best suited for coffee and tea enthusiasts who value atmosphere as much as the quality of their drink, a low-key setting for quiet conversation, or a casual bite in the heart of a well-trodden historic neighborhood. Mornings and early afternoons, when the light spills gently through the windows and the café hums with a mix of steady conversation and comfortable silence, feel like the sweet spot for visiting.

Myth & Legend Coffee isn’t just a café — it’s a love letter to flavor, comfort, and quiet moments shared over a perfect cup. Nestled on the charming brick-lined Charlotte Street in historic downtown St. Augustine, this dreamy little spot wraps you in warmth from the moment you walk in. The space is cozy, intimate, and softly lit — the kind of place where conversations linger and time slows down. It’s the sort of coffee shop that feels like it belongs in a romantic novel. The menu is thoughtful and full of heart. We fell in love with the Bagel Sandwich and The Bootlegger — each bite layered with bold, delicious flavors and just the right touch of heat, thanks to the jalapeño and garlic aioli. These aren’t just sandwiches; they’re comforting, crave-worthy creations that stay with you long after the last bite. But the real magic? The Build Your Own Flight — four handcrafted drinks of your choice, like a symphony of flavors in one beautiful lineup. We chose matcha, toasted coconut, a seasonal latte, and the caramel latte — each one unique, smooth, and brewed with intention using beans from Because Coffee Co. It’s a true sensory experience — each sip like a whispered story told in layers of taste. And what made our visit even more special? The people. Emma and Mak made us feel like regulars on our first visit, and Angela, the GM, came over personally to share the heartwarming story behind the café. That kind of connection stays with you. Myth & Legend Coffee 88 Charlotte Street, St. Augustine, FL Whether you’re starting your morning, taking a midday break, or just looking for a place to fall in love with coffee (and maybe each other), Myth & Legend is a place where flavor, ambiance, and heart come together in the most beautiful way. The coffee is so good, I had another.

An unforgettable coffee experience in the heart of St. Augustine! We had the pleasure of visiting Myth & Legend Coffee and were blown away by the cozy ambiance, friendly team, and creative offerings. The location itself is a hidden gem tucked into historic downtown—walking distance from the sights, but with a peaceful, relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for a break, catch-up, or casual bite. The menu features a great selection of handcrafted coffee drinks, sandwiches, and light snacks. We tried The Bagel Sandwich and The Bootlegger—both were absolutely delicious! We added jalapeño and garlic aioli for an extra flavor kick, and we’re so glad we did. One of the most fun parts of the visit was the Build Your Own Flight experience. You get to choose four drinks—we sampled the matcha toasted coconut, a caramel latte, and two seasonal options. Each one was distinct and full of flavor. Honestly, every single coffee was out of this world! A huge shoutout to Emma and Mak for their amazing, friendly service. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. And thank you to Angela, the GM, who personally stopped by to introduce herself and gave us a wonderful short history of the shop and its vision—such a special touch that made the visit even more memorable. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this is a must-stop coffee shop in St. Augustine. Located at 88 Charlotte St. Open Sun–Mon 9–5, Tue–Wed 10–5, Thu–Sat 9–7. Highly recommend supporting this local gem—you won’t be disappointed!

From the very first glance, Myth & Legend charmed me, and with the first sip, it completely stole my heart. It's more than a coffee shop; it's an unforgettable experience. The team was so warm and welcoming, and you can tell they’re passionate about what they do. The coffee itself was incredible—you can really taste the high quality. I loved it so much that I also bought some of their Finca La Unica to brew at home. Now, every morning, this coffee brings me so much joy, reminding me of "La Vie en Rose"—life seen through the most beautiful of lenses. This wasn’t just coffee; it was a myth, a legend, and a memory I'll treasure. I can't wait to come back!

I have walked past this cute coffee shop at the backside of the Cathedral multiple times, but only got the chance to stop today after church and I was really happy with the experience! The Ebenezer was a really delicious coffee drink - it hit that perfect spot of not too sweet but still lots of flavor. The atmosphere was very relaxed but cozy, employees were cheerful, and selection was good. I love the dark academia aesthetic for the seating area. Honestly best coffee shop I've tried in town so far. Will definitely be back!

What a cute little spot! We just happened across this place while walking and decided to pop in. I got the golden snitch which is supposed to taste like butter beer, but it just tasted like a normal iced coffee. That’s okay, it was still great. My husband had the headless horseman and he was very pleased with it, which is a lot coming from him as he’s very picky about his coffee. Will return in the future.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Myth & Legend Coffee in St. Augustine, FL was a fun little adventure in caffeine land The coffee itself was pretty solid. I didn’t get my usual caramel vanilla latte, which is my sacred go-to and my ultimate coffee shop measuring stick. I’ll be honest, I blame my wife for this one She roasted me for always ordering the same thing, so I tried to “mix it up” and went with a butter beer latte. It was… okay. Needed a little extra sweetness, so I tossed in 2 or 3 raw sugar packets, which I never do, but this one needed it. Pretty sure if I had stuck with my tried-and-true drink, I’d have been in full coffee bliss. On the bright side, we grabbed three bags of coffee to take home to Colorado and share with friends, and wow, those beans are legit. You can smell and taste the quality. They even ground them for us right there since I don’t have a grinder at home (and honestly, probably wouldn’t use it if I did ). We hung out for a couple of hours, sipping coffee and working on our laptops. The vibe was awesome — chill, friendly, and perfect for getting a little work done while pretending to be productive. The location is top-tier too, right in the middle of everything. You can grab a coffee and stroll the shops or wander down to the waterfront. I’ll definitely swing by again next time I’m in town. Cool spot, great coffee, and good vibes all around.

After a somewhat disappointing experience at a different coffee shop, we hoped that this place would satisfy our craving. Spoiler alert, this place was more than amazing. We wanted to try a coffee flight at first but unfortunately they were about to change seasonal menus so they weren’t offering it. However, the two girls on bar were both super friendly about it and recommended the seasonal drinks. Even though they said they were both new, we couldn’t tell because the drinks were amazing and the sandwich was also delicious. Unfortunately we didn’t catch their names but both of the baristas were amazing! We had a great time at Myth and Legend in St. Augustine and we will 100% return!
